Strategic Plan Development | Institute for Professional Editors

FineHaus worked with the Institute for Professional Editors (IPEd) Council, CEO, key external stakeholders and staff on its 3 year strategic plan development. IPEd has recently completed a significant re-structure, becoming a national membership organisation where individual editors are members of IPEd and previously independent State-based societies became branches. The plan guides the next stage of this journey.

FineHaus undertook a three step process to develop the strategic plan, which included conducting background research and stakeholder interviews, facilitation of a one-day strategic planning workshop with the Council and the development of a three year plan.  FineHaus also provided input on the development of the FY18 implementation plan and communications strategy.

Here’s what they had to say about working with FineHaus:

The Institute of Professional Editors recently engaged FineHaus to facilitate its strategic planning process. Nicki Hauser was a dynamic and engaging facilitator, along with Connie Finestone, whose expertise in governance and organisational processes helped us to focus on the task at hand.

Strategic planning is one of the most important processes for an organisation to undertake. We were fortunate to have facilitators who guided us skilfully through what can be a challenging and often time-fraught process. They achieved this with the right balance of professionalism and humour. At the end of the session, it was noticeable how engaged and cohesive we had become as an organisation.

We would not hesitate to work with Nicki and Connie again and highly recommend them to any organisation about to undertake this journey. We could not think of better navigators.
