“It’s one thing to have a vision, but executing it and doing so to the highest standards requires experience, talent and dedication. FineHaus has brought all of these qualities to the table and more in helping ALTA grow from a casual meetup over drinks into a beacon of innovation and community on the global legal technology landscape. Beyond consistently providing the organisational capabilities to drive the association forward on a daily basis, FineHaus has delivered services at every level of event organisation from planning all the way to operations, giving members peace of mind.
Our inaugural annual conference, ALTACON was the biggest challenge we had taken on as an association, and with FineHaus’ help every step of the way, it was a smashing success beyond all of our highest hopes.”
From dreamy concept to the nitty gritty details of delivery, Finehaus were committed to ensuring that ALTACON was a success. Nicki and Connie were able to remain simultaneously focused on the goal, the members and the financial outcome to ensure that everything from speakers to sponsorship, food, fun and fellowship – nothing was forgotten, no stone unturned, and no issue too big for them to tackle. As directors, we were able to hand over the management to this most excellent team who did not fail to deliver. Any association would be lucky to have them as part of the team.
Working together as a virtual management team and in collaboration with the ALPMA Board and volunteers, Nicki and Connie drove impressive growth at ALPMA, achieving significant increases in membership and sponsorship, while transforming ALPMA’s online presence, streamlining its operations and significantly increasing the financial performance and profile of ALPMA’s flagship event, the ALPMA Summit.
They bring infectious passion and enthusiasm to everything they do. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
Having spent 8 years fully immersed in the day to day activities of growing and building a membership based state peak body with a balance sheet in the low tens of thousands to a million dollars, I was finding it hard to ‘see the wood for the trees’. I was lucky to meet Connie Finestone and Nicki Hauser at AusAE’s 2018 ACE Conference. Both women had been high achievers in a membership based association prior to establishing FineHaus. Both had hands on ‘real’ experience of the things I was grappling with. Their pragmatic approach to unzipping the ‘organisational intel’ I had in my head and organising my thoughts into an implementable plan to reshape the way I worked whilst continuing the growth and reputation of my organisation was an experience I recommend to anyone. In just two days, Nicki and Connie helped me shape the organisation’s strategic aims into an operational plan and budget to support implementation of the Board’s strategic direction together with a resourcing strategy and budget that would make it possible for me to redirect my efforts towards higher level strategy outcomes. I commend FineHaus to any business executive seeking to navigate their way forward and grow their brand, reputation and credibility to truly ‘live their vision’.
Strategic planning is inherently challenging for an alliance of organisations such as ours, each with its own set of priorities – a challenge Nicki Hauser readily accepted. She took the time to understand the core purpose of our organisation and then through phone interviews canvassed perspectives across the range of disparate stakeholders in our network to develop and deliver a highly productive strategic planning session. Her preparation was invaluable, and we appreciated her steady hand as Nicki guided our board of directors in determining Western Alliance’s priorities for the next 3–5 years as well as articulating an implementation plan for achieving them.
Nicki and FineHaus come highly recommended, and I sincerely congratulate and commend them for the depth of expertise and professionalism afforded to this assignment.
The Institute of Professional Editors recently engaged FineHaus Management to facilitate its strategic planning process. Nicki Hauser was a dynamic and engaging facilitator, along with Connie Finestone, whose expertise in governance and organisational processes helped us to focus on the task at hand.
Strategic planning is one of the most important processes for an organisation to undertake. We were fortunate to have facilitators who guided us skilfully through what can be a challenging and often time-fraught process. They achieved this with the right balance of professionalism and humour. At the end of the session, it was noticeable how engaged and cohesive we had become as an organisation.
We would not hesitate to work with Nicki and Connie again and highly recommend them to any organisation about to undertake this journey. We could not think of better navigators.
FineHaus was paramount to the successful development and launch of the new Tonkin Legal web site.
Nicki Hauser’s project management skills and ability to dissect complicated concepts and write relevant and interesting content are superb.
We would never have achieved this outstanding result without Nicki’s talent and tenacity.
It was an absolute pleasure to engage Nicki Hauser again for a project to develop IPEd’s marketing strategy. We had engaged FineHaus previously to assist our organisation through a strategic planning process that was a success, so it was a natural choice to work with Nicki again.
The strategy was thorough and I appreciate Nicki’s approach in ensuring that we had achievable, practical targets that suited the size and resourcing of our organisation. I look forward to working with FineHaus again in the future.
