The leadership and management you need to take your association forward

The biggest constraints preventing most membership associations from achieving their strategic objectives are a lack of strategy and limited resources to turn plans into reality.

Smaller associations are often managed by secretariats, who are great at the daily business of keeping your association running – but who might not have the skills to take on some of the more strategic aspects of managing an association. Often, boards are comprised of industry experts, who know everything there is to know about the sector – but who may also lack experience in things like strategic planning, membership growth and engagement, marketing, governance or sponsorship strategies for membership associations.

That’s where we can help.

Experts to lead and manage your association.

At FineHaus, we provide an innovative, affordable virtual association management service for smaller associations, where we look after the entire management and operation of your association. This service is delivered by our team of highly experienced association management professionals who work flexibly and remotely – enabling us to keep our overheads low and our prices affordable while attracting the best people.

Virtual Association Management.

Our approach to providing a virtual management service extends beyond providing core administrative services to working collaboratively with your board to lead and manage your association. We currently manage a number of associations including the Australian Legal Technology Association, AustLaw, the Australasian Rehabilitation Nurses’ Association, Australasian Neuroscience Nurses Association and more.

We believe operations need to be tightly aligned with an organisation’s strategic direction. As such, as a standard part of our virtual management service, we include the development of a three year strategic plan and detailed annual operational plans that outline how this strategy will be delivered each year. This provides a sound strategic framework for our activities.

This strategic framework is supported by a robust, systematic approach to governance. As part of our virtual management service, we establish a governance framework that includes risk management, policy and procedures, board management and regulatory compliance.

We customise our service to meet your requirements.  Our capability spans member management, book-keeping and financial management, event and conference management, marketing and communications, sponsorship, membership acquisition, program development and research.

Our virtual management service is supported by a cloud-based operating IT environment, which allows seamless 24 x 7 remote access for our team and for your board and committee members.  We have experience with many member management, CRM and website content management systems – and can work with whatever system you have. Importantly and unlike other association management companies, we operate your IT platform – but you own it.

Role-based Experts.

Sometimes, we are engaged to undertake a specific role, at an agreed hourly rate or on fixed monthly retainer for an agreed period of time.  We work flexibly as part of your team, working collaboratively with your board, secretariat and staff, either on-site or virtually.

  • Marketing Manager
  • Business Development/Sponsorship Manager
  • Membership Manager
  • Operations Manager
  • Company Secretary
  • Executive Director
  • Project Manager

Alternatively, we can be employed on a project-by-project basis, where we agree a fixed price to manage a project.

Whichever way works best for you, we offer affordable access to the right people you need to take your association forward.

We would not hesitate to work with Nicki and Connie again and highly recommend them to any organisation about to undertake this journey. We could not think of better navigators.”
