FineHaus is the professional conference organiser for the Australian Legal Technology Association’s annual legal + technology conference, ALTACON.

FineHaus’ responsibilities include:

  • venue selection and management
  • registration management
  • securing and managing sponsors
  • marketing and promotions
  • financial management
  • speaker management and
  • support for the ALTACON Committee.


FineHaus organised ALTACON 2020, pivoting this to a hugely successful virtual event in May 2020 with a global audience of 500+ delegates in just 8 weeks, thanks to COVID-19.


More than 270 delegates from across the legal community came together for the sell-out inaugural event in May 2019 to explore the cutting edge intersection of legal and technology in the Docklands, Melbourne.  ALTACON featured two concurrent streams on legal technology, with rapid-TeED style presentations by international and national thought leaders and technologists. ALTACON also featured a LegalTech Expo showcasing leading Australian legal technology companies and our partners. It also included a pitch competition to support early stage legaltech start-ups.

From dreamy concept to the nitty gritty details of delivery, Finehaus were committed to ensuring that ALTACON was a success. Nicki and Connie were able to remain simultaneously focused on the goal, the members and the financial outcome to ensure that everything from speakers to sponsorship, food, fun and fellowship – nothing was forgotten, no stone unturned, and no issue too big for them to tackle. As directors, we were able to hand over the management to this most excellent team who did not fail to deliver.
